My boyfriend is a truly amazing guy. Although I had been in a couple of relationships before I met my boyfriend, I had never realised how fulfilling a relationship could be. While all of my other relationships were one-sided (meaning that the guys I was with were only interested in making themselves happy), with my boyfriend, I truly feel like we are partners and equals. He never talks down to me or acts like I am inferior to him, and when issues arise between the two of us, he is truly interested in finding out how I really feel.

In addition to showing me more respect than anyone else I have ever known, my boyfriend treats me like a princess. Although I never ask for him to do it, he always likes to surprise. His latest surprise for me was a trip to Birmingham. Not only was this an exciting surprise, but it was even more impressive to me that he would take the time to book the entire trip on his own. While other guys would do a sloppy job with this kind of surprise, my boyfriend took the time to work out all of the details. For example, when we arrived at the Birmingham airport, we had a car hire waiting for us which he had reserved ahead of time. The hotel we stayed in was extremely nice, and it was just such a relaxing experience to get away from the stresses of daily life and spend four full days with the guy who I care about more than anyone else.
